Encantoso!
Spanish language version of the first pf the phenomenal Harry Potter series. An English lad embarks upon a life of magic and wizardry in a special school dedicated to that end. A fabulous read, it not only holds one's attention, but at the same time greatly enhanced my grasp of Spanish. It serves to entertain while reinforcing Spanish language skills. I recommend it to children of all ages who have any background in Spanish.

Hear We Go Kids: Another New Day
Published in Hardcover by Hear We Go Kids (December, 1995)
Authors: Brian Potter, Wayne Green, and Rosekrans Hoffman
Average review score:

Some of the finest kids songwriting found anywhere!
If children's recordings were cars, the Hear We Go Kids book and tape series would be a fleet of Cadillacs: big, luxurious productions, tastefully appointed and sumptuously upholstered. Lyricist Brian Potter and composer Wayne Green exhibit some of the finest kids' songwriting found anywhere. Noted children's illustrators Rosekrans Hoffman and Kevin Hawkes serve up a feast for the eyes in the lyric books for Another New Day and Fun Stuff Holiday, respectively. A mix of lushly produced musical styles, including pop, country, and Celtic, further distinguishes this handsome, must-own collection.

Historical Christmas Stories, 1990
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (November, 1991)
Authors: Nora Roberts, Ruth Langan, and Patricia Potter
Average review score:

4th in a series -- GREAT - GET THIS ONE!
One of the short stories -- and #4 in a series -- I think of the Hampton brothers.
MIRACLE OF THE HEART is the story of Rafe Hampton and Blythe Somers.

Blythe has taken some ten orphans in the Shenandoah Valley, 1864 and is trying to give the children a pleasant Christmas.

Seth Hampton, a doctor for the southern troops, the Mosby raiders, has dropped into Blythe's farm with a wounded General Massey. She knows that the Union soldiers will be looking for these two. But Seth has been supplying Blythe with what little food he could spare to help her support the little ones.

Benji, at five is the youngest one, he came with his sister, Margaret who is eight. Then came Jaime, an embittered twelve year old asking for work in exchange for food and he ended up staying. Traumatized nine year old Suzie came, then Abraham and Micah, nine and eight year old brothers who had set out to find their father and found Blythe instead. Then cama Sarah, a house slave who had gotten lost and Katy and July, two like Sarah who had been sold.

Danger came in the form of Major Rafe Hampton, whom Blythe had not heard from in two years. Eighteen months ago Rafe had been informed by a malevalant neighbor that Blythe was marrying his brother, Seth. He has become hard and bitter thinking that he has lost Blythe.

Oh, what a story - really great, especially the way it was resolved --- look for Seth's story in HH Untamed: Maverick Hearts 1993. ---- series starts with Swampfire - Samara and Silver Link - All Harlequin Historicals.

Horripilations: The Art of J.K. Potter

Authors: Nigel Suckling, J. K. Potter, and Stephen King
Average review score:

Beautiful Horror
This book presents a selection of Potter's incredible photographic imagery, ranging from breathtakingly lovely images of surreal beauties to twisted images of a warped subconcious. He combinees humanity with animals, nature with machines, and fear with fasination in seamless visuals. It is incredible that he does not use computers in producing his work. The commentary that accompanies the works gives you insight into his creative process and the foreward by Stephan King is fasinating in its own right. I recieved this book as a gift and was blown away by it.
